Lambton County Library has the following resources available for kids with a focus on early learning.

Theme kits contain books, craft suggestions, puppets, rhymes and fingerplays, and more, all selected to complement a particular theme. Theme kits are available for a 3-week loan period.

Decodable books are designed to help learners sound out words using decoding strategies rather than guessing from pictures or predicting from other cues. These books focus on spelling patterns that the reader can decode, given their existing knowledge of letter and sound relationships.

The Early Literacy Station™ is designed specifically for children ages 2-8 and features over 4,000 localized learning activities. The fun, interactive and engaging content spans all seven curricular areas: math, science & nature, social studies & geography, reading, art & music, writing & computer skills, and reference. There are Early Literacy Stations™ at the following Lambton County Library locations: Alvinston Library, Brigden Library, Clearwater Library, Corunna Library, Florence Library, Forest Library, Grand Bend Library, Petrolia Library, Point Edward Library, Sarnia Library, Thedford Library, Watford Library and Wyoming Library.

PebbleGo

PebbleGo is an online animal database that offers information on hundreds of animals. Designed specifically for Kindergarten through Grade 3.

TumbleBook Librar

Tumble Book Library is an online collection of animated and narrated eBooks for children in grades Kindergarten through Grade 6.

Britannica Online for Kids

Britannica Library is an online encyclopedia designed specifically for kids and young adults.

Primary Search

Primary Search is a full-text database of carefully curated content for elementary school libraries. It includes full text for the most popular children's magazines, e-books, and easy-to-read encyclopedic entries written specifically for kids.
