Auto Repair Source offers a user-friendly search experience to help users diagnose, repair and maintain today's complex vehicles. All content comes from the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and includes step-by-step DIY auto repair information, diagrams, maintenance schedules, parts and labor estimates, service bulletins and recalls.

Britannica Online Library Edition

Britannica Online Library Edition is a resource offering a collection of reference content for adults, young adults and children.

Canadian Encyclopedia

Canadian Encyclopedia is a free online resource offering a collection of authored, accurate and continually updated articles focused on Canada's history and culture.

Library card not needed.

Canadian Points of View Reference Centre

Canadian Points of View Reference Centre covers hundreds of topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument) and counterpoint (opposing argument).

Each topic features a Guide to Critical Analysis which helps the reader evaluate the controversy and enhances students’ ability to read critically, develop their own perspective on the issues and write or debate an effective argument on the topic.

Canadian Reference Centre

Canadian Reference Centre is the largest collection of regional full-text content available to Canadian schools and libraries. The database includes leading Canadian and international magazines, plus thousands of images from Canadian Press.

MasterFILE Premier

MasterFILE Premier provides a robust collection of full-text magazines, e-books and primary source documents. It also includes an extensive image collection.

Grant Connect is a premier grant-seeking resource that helps users:

  • Search thousands of grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
  • Access detailed funder profiles and application guidelines
  • Track application deadlines and requirements

Lambton County Archives

Lambton County Archives is the archival centre for genealogical and local history research in Lambton County. The Archives preserves and makes accessible historical and family documents for researchers. At the Archives, visitors can access resources such as:

  • Family records, census records, birth records (to 1914), marriage records (to 1929) and death records (to 1939).
  • Local newspapers - Sarnia Observer from 1853 to present, Petrolia Topic, Forest Standard and more.
  • Corporate records, Land Registry information, historical atlases, Women's Institute's Records, and Tweedsmuir Books, and the local branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society holdings.

Local History Collection

Ancestry Library Edition is an online searching program with approximately 4,000 databases and billons of names. Covering the United States and the United Kingdom, it includes census, vital, church, court, and immigration records, as well as record collections from Canada and other areas. Visitors using public computers or public wi-fi at any Lambton County Library location can access Ancestry Library Edition, at no cost. Ancestry Library Edition is also accessible at Lambton County Archives with an admission fee.
